August 21, 2018
Dear Park Orchard Families,
I hope many of you have taken some time this summer to relax with family and friends. School is just a few days away, and I’m hoping you enjoy the time before the kids head back to school.
This letter is to help you plan and prepare for upcoming events. This year school starts on Wednesday, August 29th. It is important to start preparing your children with a school day routine for at least a few days leading up to the first day of school. School times remain the same; Monday's school is from 10:15 am – 3:30 pm, and Tuesday – Friday school is from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm. I can’t express enough how critical it is that your child gets to school on time and is here every day.
As many of you know, Park Orchard continues to grow. We will have ten new faces at Park Orchard (including myself) and a change in positions for one of our staff. Here is a list of our newest members to the Park Orchard community.
Marivel Vela - 2nd Grade Teacher
Andy Adame- 2nd Grade Teacher
Prelita Owen - 4th Grade Teacher
MoniQue Haring - 5th Grade Teacher
Denise Krober- Muisc Teacher

This is an opportunity for you to meet teachers, put supplies in desks or cubbies, put money on lunch accounts, bring medications to the office, and become oriented with the school. In addition, our PTO will have a table with information regarding the amazing activities they are doing for our school. They will also have shirts and other grizzly gear available for purchase.

There will be additional information at open house or will go home with your child on the first day of school. Please look through it carefully as it will contain a lot of very important information about our daily schedule, the district calendar, pick-up and drop-off routines, free and reduced lunch applications, etc.

If you have any questions, give us a call or swing by the week of August 20th.
Looking forward to a great year! GO GRIZZLIES!
